400,000 Swiss households now conduct their postal business conveniently at their front door with Swiss Post’s home service. You aim to further expand and enhance this service. Digitally-savvy customers can place their orders via smartphone or PC.
For customers who prefer not to use digital services, the order pen is available. While it is not connected to the Internet, it is highly innovative. With this approach, Swiss Post aims to cater to different customer needs.
Our main task was to technically implement an existing and specified housing design using plastic injection molding. Additionally, the very short time to market of just a few months presented a major challenge.

When we received more information about the final product after the kick-off meeting, it became clear that we could offer more than just manufacturing plastic injection-molded parts. In addition to the injection-molded housing itself, the enclosure had to be printed, the delivered electronics had to be assembled, the serial number and label had to be affixed, the functionality of the electronics had to be tested, and finally, the product needed to be packaged. Miromico was enthusiastic about our overall concept.
The advantages were clear to them: they had only one contact person for the project, eliminating the need for tedious shipping to additional suppliers, which significantly reduced turnaround time. Furthermore, by taking responsibility for the entire process, we were able to make additional optimizations, reducing assembly time and costs. It was a win-win situation for all parties involved, and as a result, we were awarded the contract for implementation. To facilitate the handling of the mail, we also produced a suitable mass packaging system.
